Our story
Meet Janae
“Every set is a conversation between what you want and what your nails can do.”
Janae Johnson, known to her clients as Nae, is the founder and nail technician behind Nae's Nail Co.
Born in Akron, Ohio in 2000, Janae spent much of her childhood in Tampa, Florida before returning to Akron in the seventh grade. She graduated from East Community Learning Center, where her talent on the basketball court earned her a full athletic scholarship to Genesee Community College in New York.
She initially pursued a degree in nursing but soon realized that her true passion was in creativity and design. That realization led her to the beauty industry, where she found her calling in nail artistry and went on to establish Nae’s Nail Co.
